Franchisee Spotlight: Meet Edmonton’s Jason Hryhorczuk

His customer-first approach keeps his days busy and his reviews glowing.

“I was thrilled with the work Jason completed in our mud room. He spent time learning about how we wanted to use the space, and suggested a layout that couldn’t have turned out better. Thank you!” Lindsay R.

Jason spent most of his career as a civil structural designer. He was a CAD coordinator for about 15 years working in oil and gas. To escape the ups and downs of the industry, he began looking for a Plan B—and started a business as a home inspector. Still in transition, he went to the Franchise Expo with a friend to keep him company, where he came across Paul and Stor-X.

His plans started to change. He liked what Stor-X was offering, he liked the quality and customization, and he really liked opportunity to build a customer-first business. Two months later, Jason sold his first closet and he never looked back. Somewhere in a drawer there’s an unused stack of business cards for his home inspection company.

Today, Jason spends his days making people happy, and that feels pretty good.

In one home, while building an entertainment center around a fireplace, he noticed the owner sitting on her sofa watching quietly. When Jason asked her husband if everything was ok, he laughed. “She’s mentally putting things away,” he said. “She loves it.”

Cut to fit

At the start of every project, Jason asks a lot of questions. Hanging bars, drawers, shelves, finishes, profiles… he works with his customer’s wants to create a space that works beautifully for them. And because everything is cut to fit, there’s never any wasted space. Forget that 24 or 30 inch wide drawer. Jason will make whatever size drawer you need.

Canadian Made

As a Canadian company, his prices are generally better than his competition, which is another reason his customers are beaming. Everything is made to order in Richmond, BC. Jason brings all materials pre-cut to his worksites. His installer, Andrew Carroll, assembles in a day. No mess. No cutting. No surprises.

“People do their research. They’ll look me up online, and my reviews really do say it all. Everyone writes something meaningful, which is so great. When I’m having a bad day, I’ll actually go look at my reviews to remind myself that I make people happy.”

Dream Job

So what’s Jason’s dream project? “Oh, just helping my clients. Every job is their dream job or their dream closet, right? So I need to make it work for them.”

With great design, quality materials and a warm smile, Jason wants to make your life easier. He’s built a thriving business in Edmonton because of it.
