For 15 years, Jason worked as a structural designer for an engineering firm in the oil and gas sector. When they began downsizing from 400 to 100 people in 2015, he decided that, career-wise, it was time for a new opportunity.
The home handyman and woodworker has a formal drafting background and was always the go-to
guy at work for advice about home improvement. “My passion is home design and construction, and for years I’ve been helping friends and co-workers improve their homes and organize their spaces better,” said Jason.
When he accompanied a friend going to the 2016 Edmonton Franchise Expo, he stopped at the STOR-X® Organizing Systems booth, one of the few booths that wasn’t a restaurant business. Having just redone closets where he had to resize the whole storage unit to make it “sort-of” fit his space, he was immediately impressed with STOR-X . For Jason, who wasn’t even considering a franchise before he went to the show, STOR-X was the perfect fit, in more ways than one.
“These days, most Albertans are cautious about how they spend their money,” says Jason. “They want value for money, they want choice and they want products that meet their exact needs. They also want a local person they trust who will stand behind their product, and that’s me. With everything from customized family room-organizing units to heated hockey closets, I’m confident STOR-X® and I can tackle any home organization challenge Edmonton has to offer.
